Cats done

I have ended my two cats blocks. I have had some problems with the white fabric, as you can see to the pics, ( it has shrunk a lot!!!). So I must to use a different way to applique the patterns but, after all, I'm happy for as my cats turn out.
I hope you like them too.

Blogger's Quilt Festival

I have a quilt that I more love too. It's my first Lone Star and it's perfect to show at the quilt-festival-fall-2009.

I was attracted to the Lone star old quilts and I had looked for a class to learn how to do for a long time but I didn't find any where I live...

... so I decided to tray to make it from my self with the help of a great great book of Eleanore Burns.

Here I found clear explications and all the tips to make easily my quilt. I chose modern and colorful fabrics and now I love as it is turned out.

Around the star I added some appliquè blocks as I had seen on the pics of old Lone Star quilts.

Maybe this isn't my nicer work but it's which I'm proudest of.

Case with geese

I will start new classes in this time, so what's better as a new stuff case?
Two different cute fabrics for the in and the out face...

...and many pockets where to place all my stuff.

The original idea comes from this nice book: Pretty Little Cozies.

The village of Saint Marie aux Mine and three little ones near it will become places of expositions for traditional, ancient and modern quilts arrived from all over the word.
And ,of course, there will be a very interesting commercial area.
I will take a lot of pics and I will share with you my fantastic next four days!

Paris and peoples

Grande Arc De la Defense

Tour Eiffel

Paris is fantastic.
But the most fantastic spectacle of Paris are peoples. I never have seen a place with so many kinds of peoples living together.
In Paris integration seems to be possible.

FMF Freaks and Back to Patch

I love all the Denyse Schmidt fabric collections, but the Flea Market Fancy is special for me. Fresh colors, lovely prints and good quality of cotton. I discovered it when it was already not easy to find so I will be really happy if I could have a new chance to add it to my stash.

Are you a Flea Market Fancy Freak too?

Penny has opened a blog to ask to Free Spirit a new run of this cute collection...

...so join in with us!

The hot August days have taken me far away to patchwork but now is time to come back.

Many started projects are waiting for me on my work table and on my design wall!

The lightning of life

My sweety baby is going well...I'm happy I can say that.

She has needed one whole month to come out througt the tunnel of ache and depression where she was slipped after the accident.

But during the last three days I could see the lightning of life to sparkle again in her sweet eyes.
She has put on some weight and her fur is shiny.

The pic show how we were and how ,I hope, we will become to be again.
I miss it.
