Trudi is sure that the new quilt covering the armchair is just her own !

Ottoman

And so today, after some discussion and a few thoughts ...

...the ottoman is done!

We are very satisfied!

What work on we today?

Today I decided to start working to cover the ottoman. Trudi was immediately offered to help ... obviously in his way. 

 These are the colors I had chosen ... 

 ... and Trudi seems to approve. 

                        But for the measures I guess I'll wait until tomorrow

A GreaT Help

We are starting a new quilt...

The Blogger Quilt Festival is here!

 For the Blogger Quilt Festival this year I have choesen the quilt I have finished just today. The red-black stripes quilt have now a red dotted binding sewed by machine. I'm not totally satisfied for the result...    

...but I love the quilt colors and the design of the front and the back side. Thanks to  Amy for organizing  the festival and remember to visit and enjoy the many beautiful quilts from the whole world!                   

Monday report

Today I started a new project about which I cant say more because it will be a secret gift for a friend.

Trudi, my helper, stayed closer to me as it was possible ... her position wasn't so useful, to say the true.

At last , luckily , she decided to go to the official bed she have in my sewing room.

And this was more useful. ;-)

Summer afternoon

Summer gives again wonderful and hot days...no good time to quilting....

...but perfect for a lazy nap!

Gift quilt

And this is its new happy owner!

Before Trudy was been very helpful in to prepare the gift box!

Classes and new staff

Last week I have started to give two new classes.
A beginner one where I have suggested to do simple solid colors blocks on a printed background...

...and a average one where the blocks are less simple and made in different size to improve technique and ability of the attending "girls".

I received some new beautiful fabrics...

...part of the colorful collection by GokeKeiko ...

...and some wonderful Heather Ross reprints by Spoonflower .

And I have been so much inspired to this book really nice to look at and to read.

Trudi, as usually, take part in my projects and is a bit jealous of them.

Snowy afternoon

What to do in a cold snowy winter afternoon?...



...but take a nap in front at the wood stove, of course!

New things

A new WONDERFUL book...

...with a quilt made by Tonya (Wow! Congrats Tonya!)

A new appliquè block.

And Trudi on a new fabric for a new project.

Snow day

Lavinia says..."What has happened?"

All is WHITE around her...

...the snow has covered everything during the night...

...and there is a so different smell in the breeze.

Also the back yard of my home is changed...

...Trudy seems to be interested in the snow too.
