On the design wall and in my life

The red  blocks are samplers for a Improvisational Patchwork class.

They are about 5" and to make them is a big fun.

The amazing appliqè circles made by my special friend Claudia are the start for a new project I have in mind.

One week ago, the burglars devastated my home. Little Trudy save herself behind a sofa and we all are safe. They kept just few cash and my pc ( this is why I stayed so long away to blogland)... but we have had a lot of damage...definitely not a good period.

New life ... new quilt

Sorry for the long time without posting. In the last two weeks my life is totally changed.
I have left my work. I'm fine now but still a bit  confused. New time to fill , new  things to get used to and old things to forget...   

...my mind is like this quilt: filled  of new projects with the happiness of the colors and the lightness of the butterflies...

Yesterday I was so glad to have been tagged that I forgot same important things...first of all who tagged me: sweet Victoria of http://bumblebeans.blogspot.com/ Then I had to tag six people to keep up the joke....I'm young as a blogger and is hard for me to find six people to tag but I will think about and I will do it soon.

I have never known it was possible!...psst...truly I didn't know what it means. But now I understand(... a nice way to get to know each other!).

So now I have to tell 6 things about me, quirky things...6 is a lot...

ONE I like American coffee...it is funny because I am Italian...but I really love long,hot,sweet American coffee...better if aromatized.

TWO I collect matryoshka, the little Russian doll that have one inside and one and one...

THREE I hate summer...not truly hate but I don't like...too hot.

FOUR I am addicted to fabric, but this isn't a quirky thing for a quilter!

SIX I love N.Y.city....I'm not original, I know..

Buoni propositi

Happy New Year!
...my good intention for the 2009 is to finish all the started quilt. So from today on I begin to quilt the "red sampler" and I choose a spiral line easy to quilt. I will change the thread colour in all section to give motion to the finish work. I will show it at the end...

Buon anno a tutti!...i miei buoni propositi per il 2009 sono di concludere i lavori già cominciati. Per metterli subito in pratica ho iniziato a quiltare il top "sampler rosso" con un semplice motivo di linee concentriche che si adattano così ai diversi blocchi che compongono il quilt. Per ogni sezione penso che userò un colore diverso pur rimanendo nella gamma di colori del top,spero così di aggiungere movimento al lavoro finito. Vi mostrerò il risultato...

La prima volta...

Ciao a tutti,

questa è la mia prima volta sul mio primo blog...un po' di emozione e un po' di timidezza sono giustificate. Perché intraprendere questa avventura? Perché in realtà io sono un'appassionata lettrice di blogs che trovo siano un bellissimo mezzo di conoscenza reciproca ma non solo. Per me che amo il patchwork e impazzisco per le stoffe sono un'inesauribile fonte di novità e niente come la lettura dei blogs ha saputo stimolare la mia curiosità far crescere la mia creatività e affinare i miei gusti. Quindi grazie a tutte le sconosciute amiche che quotidianamente seguo. Spero di trovarne molte ancora.

this is my first time as a blogger...I am nervous and shy just a little. Why to start this adventure? I love to read blogs...they are the way to know appealing people but not only. I am addicted to patchwork and fabrics and I find always news on my favourite blogs and nothing as a blogs have spurred my curiosity or increased my creativity and improved my tastes.
