New top

I have worked on this nice top today ... I like it ! Each blocks is different and  has been sewed by a quilter from a my city group.  We have projected  to make a bee quilt to celebrate the upcoming Quilting day of my region in the next month of June.
                  Trudi likes the top too...

The sweet of life

In the Valentine's day I tell you something about friendship.

With the mail I received today a super cute packet (did you notice the nice ribbons?)...

...inside a sweet note and a beautiful and precious pincushion made just for me by my friend (can I say that of us?) Hilde.
We never have met us in person, but I feel her as a "old" friend and our understanding run over the mails.

See her work closer...it's wonderful, isn't it?
Thank you again!
Pssst...she is the author of this books!

By the way I show you the second pixie I made...

...and what I'm thinking for the inner round...

Blogger's Quilt Festival

I decided to share this quilt for the Blogger's Quilt Festival for a no special reason...simply because I LOVE it!

This is the quilt I have on my sofa during the winter...I love the fabrics I have used, the combination of colors and the simple hexagons pattern...
...and, of course, is the one Trudi likes most too!

Winter block is done!

Variations

Three my friends and I have chosen a pattern from this book to make a gift for a friend that will be 60 in July.

We are four as the seasons...so this project is perfect for us! One season for each one of us....

My season is the winter...nice...but I have thought it looked a bit unhappy.

So I have brought some variations...

Two little owls...

...and a purple mad cat.

Maybe the cat nose needs to be re sized....or maybe not! :-)

A bee quilt

Last Saturday I met my friends to have a all day together to start a bee-quilt.

We want to make a quilt for the 50birthday of a friend.

The project is to make the wonky wheels in different colors and add them on a clear background with colorful sashing and border.

WE WORKED HARD ALL THE DAY!

At last we made 16 wonky wheels and 16 appliquè stars to complete the center of each wheel.

We are very satisfied of ours work !
In a future post the progress and tutorial...
