Harvest and Christmas

Coming back from France I rode through the wonderful German country where in a very small farmer's market I bought these amazing hot colors pumpkins.
Trudi helped me into find a perfect layout for the pics...
About patchwork I finished to add the binding at the Christmas stripe quilt started the last year (!!!).

New fabrics and a new set of shelves

After four days spent at the European Patchwork Meeting in France I have had to buy a new set of shelves ...
...my collection of shot cottons...

...and solids has grown considerably!

Layout

I made nine love blocks...now I have to take some "hard" decisions:

....to make more blocks to have a big LOVE quilt or to stop to have a wall quilt?
...and in the second case to choose a layout with or without sashing?
For now they are waiting for me on the design wall.

Love and coffee

It's a long time I 'm thinking of this love-live quilt made by Tonya for Lynne .

And today I used my scraps to make a sampler LOVE block.
This are the first two letters...

...and this will become the V...

I have to say that the ended block is a bit less wonky as I have desired
but it will be a good lesson for the next blocks...

About coffee I learned that the American brands cant ship coffee to Italy...it's a trade agreement or something similar.
I'm waiting for the coffee that Chris shipped to me from New England but in this time I found a U.K. brand with many yummy flavoured coffee... if someone is interested in the web address is:

www.gourmethouse.co.uk

I have replenished my stock!

Quilting update

My PC was away for five days for the annual check and it looks as a good thing for the time I spent in quilting. I can show some progress on the baskets quilt ...

...and the Kaffe coffee cups quilt ended!
